The Duke Energy 620 MW Dan River Station 2x1 Combined Cycle Simulator was declared Ready for Training in November 2013.

WSC provided the high fidelity models to simulate the two GE 7FA combustion turbines, two Vogt triple pressure HRSGs, a GE D11 steam turbine generator and all necessary auxiliary systems. A virtual GE Mark VI DCS was integrated for the CT and ST controls and virtual Ovation DCS was integrated for overall control of the combined-cycle plant. WSC also provided our 3KEYMASTER Instructor Station and a custom control room operator console for the 20 HMI stations.
